CASIO WV56HA-1AV Wave Ceptor Digital Watch

Customer Review: Avoid plastic Casios
The plasic bodies on Casio watches are poorly designed. I have two of them break where the band connects. Casio would not replace the second one due to it being a bit out of warrantee. I am disgusted with the poor service, and won't buy another Casio. At least buy one made of metal if you are going to buy one at all.
Customer Review: Casio poor customer service
I purchased a Casio watch on which the plasic body broke where the band attaches. It was defective because I had two of them break in the same place. Casio would not replace the second one, as it was out of Warrantee by a few months. I would suggest avoiding Casio watches, but at least watch out for the poor quality of the ones with plastic bodies.

Casio Men's Ana-Digi Illuminator Watch #AQ51-7E

The large, easy-to-read face found on the Casio Men's Ana-Digi Forester Illuminator Sport Watch make it a favorite workout accessory for athletes. This durable timepiece is constructed with a stainless steel case, a stationary brown stainless steel bezel, and a comfortable brown nylon wristband with an adjustable buckle clasp for a personalized fit. A durable mineral window shields the green dial face, which features eye-catching white Arabic numeral hour indexes, white watch hands, and a discrete 24-hour clock display in orange. The face also includes light, mode, and adjust functions, as well as a digital display at the six o'clock position. The quartz-powered watch includes day-and date-displays, and is water resistant to 330 feet. This watch is backed by a one-year limited manufacturer's warranty.
Customer Review: Great Watch
Watch is great. My husband's favorite! We keep replacing it every couple of years to the same watch..
Customer Review: Nice classic design
This is a lovely old design, a near copy of a 70s-era Seiko I wore for years. Unfortunately, this watch is not waterproof, only water resistant. If it were not for that, I would make it my daily companion. The face and window are quite readable, the light solves the problem I remember from that old Seiko, and changing modes is fairly easy, although not like other Casios I have had in recent years.

Casio Men's G-Shock Riseman Alti-Therm Solar Atomic Watch #GW9200-1

The Casio Men's G-Shock Riseman Alti-Therm Atomic Solar Watch #GW9200-1 is a technical timepiece with athletic style. Featuring a unique three-layer twin sensor that measures altitude, barometric pressure, and temperature, the ability to track information over time, and Multi-Band Atomic Timekeeping, which lets calibration radio signals keep the time display accurate, this watch is ready to take on big adventures. Add Tough Solar Power, an Auto EL Backlight, a world clock featuring 29 time zones, and five daily alarms into the mix, and it's tough to see how you could be more prepared for whatever lies ahead. Also offering a durable mineral window, resin band with buckle clasp, resin case, and digital-quartz movement, this watch is water resistant to 660 feet. And it is backed by a one-year manufacturer warranty.

Customer Review: Cool gadget. But only a gadget.
I bought this Riseman, I enjoy it and I'm going to keep it. Most of all, it's a G-Shock, so I know that I can swim in the ocean or ski in cold weather and nothing will happen to the watch or the waistband. Just don't try to throw it from the third floor. My previous G-Shock did not survive it ( You could do this with G-Shocks from the 80's, but not now). Ok, this is the upside. On the downside, if you think rationally, you don't really need the pack features this watch has. Solar battery that lasts forever and works up to 5 months without recharge? Awesome, but a regular battery will serve 5-10 years and the chances are high that you will replace the watch before this. And instead of just wearing your watch you now have to take care that it is exposed to daylight and your sleeves do not cover the solar panel. Atomic radio sync? Great! I have recently spent an hour on the street on a cold night trying to acquire the synchronization signal manually. It didn't work in my apt. I live in NYC, most likely this is the problem. Probably the sync will work alright in less populated area. But again, with a regular watch you spend 30 seconds every 3-6 months to adjust the time. This takes nearly as much effort as to put your Riseman facing the window overnight (required to get the sync according to the manual) Thermometer? The watch should be off your hand for about 20 minutes if you want to get a realistic reading. If you are hiking and suddenly want to check the temp, you will get a mix or outside temperature and the temperature of your body unless your take the watch off and wait for it to cool down. Altimeter? Works nicely. But if you have a GPS navigator like Nuvi, you already have a better altimeter that does not need to be recalibrated when atmospheric pressure changes. The bottom line is that Riseman is a very cool gadget. It looks great, it feels great on your hand and it has an awesome set of features. I am honest to myself that I don't need most of them. So if you are a very practical person give it a miss. If you just want a cool gadget - buy it, that's all I can say. P.S. world time is very convenient; compared to Pathfinder, there is no compass
Customer Review: Perfect Military Watch
My brother is in the Marine Corps and when I saw his old watch I realized he needed something tough. His old watch had fallen apart due to physical beatings (the face was cracked) exposed to the elements (at the time he was stationed in Arizona)and the band was cracking. I did research and came across the G-Shock. I read reviews for different models all over the internet and saw a lot of military personnel (both active and retired) give this watch rave reviews. It had the perfect amount of features (not too much, not too little) and wasn't flashy and followed his dress code for when he wears his Dress Blues and is lighter than it looks. My brother got it for Xmas 08 and he has no complaints whatsoever. This watch has been subjected to the same abuse as the other (even more now that he is stationed in Afghanistan)and still looks new. The other guys on his base even liked it and went out and bought their own. My brother says I found the perfect watch and I highly recommend it to others in the military.
